How do I take care of my new pinstriping?
I only use 1 Shot pinstriping enamel paint. Like all good automotive paints, it actually takes several months to completely dry. 1 shot usually drys to the touch 8 to 12 hours after the initial striping. After about 12 hours you can remove the layout lines by LIGHLTY cleaning with rubbing alcohol on a soft paper towel, and follow up with Honda spray cleaner or Mequires quick detailer (non-abrasive, non-silicone). Aproximately 3 days after striping you can apply a high quality carnuba wax. Apply 1 coat of wax per day for the next 3 days. This will help protect your striping as well as helping it blend in to the surrounding painted surface.
I never use quick drying striping paints like you see being applied at shows and rallys. I have found that these type of paints do not etch into the underlying paint surface like 1 shot does and have a tendency to flake off over time.
NEVER USE A HIGH PRESSURE CAR WASH TO CLEAN YOUR AUTO OR MOTORCYCLE. You will more than likely blow the stripes right off!

If you get a scratch in your pinstriping, send the item back to me and I will repair it at no charge.
I will not however repair items which show obvious signs of abuse like abrasive buffing, cleaning agents, or power car washes.

Usually I can repair a car or motorcyle that has damaged pinstriping. Sometimes the original striper may have used a non-standard color. In which case I may have to trace over those particular lines with another color.

If the striping was applied over a good quality clear coat, I can usually remove it. If the striping was on for several years, under certain sunlight you may still see "ghost" images of the original striping because the paint around the stripes has faded but the paint under the stripes did not.
